When Simon Lynch founded Cymonz in 2011 he had a singular vision – to provide international payment businesses and their customers with a highly scalable platform that delivered the outcomes they wanted.
So, he did that.
Now in 2020, Simon and his team are working with major banks and governments, tailoring tools to help them securely transact funds and keep the wheels of trade turning.
Cymonz needed a brand identity and website presence that reflected this decade-long shift from incubator to world leader. Fortunately, they’d had a decade-long relationship with a digital marketing partner who’d tracked, backed and fostered their growth, Imagic.
Cymonz has a team of over 20. Having been heavily bootstrapped, the company is a leader and enabler of international payments platforms, delivering custom solutions to banks, money services businesses and remittance businesses around the world.
The Cymonz team are pitching for work at the very apex of international finance. Their brand identity and accompanying assets have to fit a business whose resume gets them a seat at these high level discussions.
We rebuilt their entire brand asset collection from the ground up. Starting with an intensive discovery session. Being agnostic means they give their clients freedom to choose. A flexibility that is unique to their business model and exchange platform. It was from this Unique Value Proposition that we created the new Cymonz identity.
We took Cymonz’s original logo and refined it, balancing the positive and negative shapes to speak to the comings and goings of international payments. These arrows became the hero of the brand, and the starting point for strong, creative animation to be threaded throughout the website and wider brand.
Many FinTech companies use stock images or stylised illustrations, so we opted to set Cymonz apart from the rest. The use of geometric shapes, patterns and animations was our way of visualising foreign exchange at its root - the movement of funds and the interactions of people.
The first few animations on their new website land their core differences in a unique and engaging manner - they are simple, bold and elegant - the kind of bespoke brand statement that backs their excellent reputation for flexibility and innovation.
