SCAPE Public Art
For two mind-expanding decades, SCAPE Public Art has revolutionised the open spaces of Ōtautahi Christchurch – as well as public arts practice in New Zealand. SCAPE is known for its work taking contemporary art, both national and international, beyond gallery walls and into the city, making it truly accessible.
For Season 2018, they engaged Imagic to help create an installation to celebrate 20 years of SCAPE, and promote their public art walkway, commemorating the 216 temporary artworks that have popped up during their Seasons.
The 14 legacy (permanent) artworks contributed to Christchurch; and the industry and business partnerships that have made these accomplishments possible.
The installation is at the Christchurch International Airport, which is part of the walkway. The assets that we crafted for the airport installation were realised according to SCAPE’s brand guidelines and delivered within a tight timeframe.
